Chuck D. Haase
Mr. Haase was appointed to the Board on June 11, 2013. Since he was appointed during a legislative recess, he was confirmed during the 2014 legislative session on January 30. His term of office will end January 1, 2017. He is one of the Board's two layperson members. Mr. Haase lives in Grand Island with his wife, Joyce.
Mr. Haase graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Masters of Business Administration, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Kearney State College. He has worked for Charter Communications since 2001 to the present as the company's Facility Manager for Nebraska and Minnesota. He previously worked for the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, retiring in 1999. Mr. Haase also served for 22 years with the Nebraska Army National Guard, retiring in 1994 from the Nebraska STARC.
Mr. Haase is currently serving his second term on the Grand Island City Council. He also serves as the Secretary for the Central District Health Board, which serves Hall, Hamilton and Merrick Counties, and is a current state committee member for the Nebraska Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). He has also been a member of the Nebraska Military Retiree Council, and is a 35 year member of the American Legion.
